Checking out this week's headlines in the national news-rag USA TODAY, I came across not one but two developing stories where a man had [allegedly] murdered his wife.
"See, I told you," I remarked to my husband. "You can't kill your wife and get away with it. The truth always comes out." (In the past, I thought you couldn't ever get away with paying someone else to kill your wife, you'd HAVE to do it yourself.)
With a completely deadpan look, he answered "Sure you can. Those guys are just the ones who didn't know how to do it right."
This was followed by a long period of silence in which I stared at him intently. He just shrugged, smiling slyly. I advised him then that I would be blogging about our little "discussion" on this topic, in an attempt to provide information to the investigators who might someday be working on my case.
